Manitou Heights (the hill on which St. Olaf was built) was going to be purchased and used as a Catholic burial ground....

However, someone stepped in and we are left with the great college on the hill that we have today.

Did you know that in 1977, the NCAA sanctioned a Division III football game to be played using metric measurements. The game was played here in Northfield, Minnesota between St. Olaf and Carleton.
